Unlock Time, Wealth, Happiness with Minimal Effort:
The Blue Print to Balancing Family, Career, and Personal Growth
Diligence paves the way to wealth, but hurry only rushes you to poverty. ( ATD)
What up Fellas,
It’s been about two weeks since the new year.
My oldest son and I have been going driving every rise before school. His timeline is ramping up to go from a learner’s permit to a licensed driver.
On one of our drives, we stopped to grab a coffee and donuts before school. It was a great experience. Having a schedule that allows for experiences like that is priceless.
Remember the incredible value found in life’s simple moments. The importance of creating a schedule that accommodates our ambitions. But cherishes our time with loved ones. Explore ways to balance your family life with your business aspirations, and make every moment count.

Redefining Time: Beyond the Clock
You aren’t running out of time. You don’t understand time, is what you make of it.
Adding more hours to your day, would you hit your goals?
Or would you need more time?
A schedule and task is important. But you have to be flexible and pivot when other priorities take precedence.
I've been reflecting on J. Cole's song "95 South," and a particular line struck a chord:
Freaking messing with my family is bold, but it's impeding on your health
All you fellas eating off your wealth, me and mine feeding all ourselves and it feels so well.
This speaks volumes about true wealth.
It isn't about the financial aspect. It's about having the autonomy to focus on what’s more important. This autonomy is the father of limitless wealth. – The power to meet standards. Reach new goals, and unlock a legacy of wealth for generations.
The Courage to Say No"
Having commitments – let's face it, we all have em.
But there comes a time when your intuition or gut tells you something's off, and an unexpected situation arises. That's when you need to put on your big boy pants and say no.
Saying no unlocks the power of control for you. Sure, you might let a friend down, and sometimes you might miss out on things you were looking forward to.
Remember, your priority is family. As a leader, you must practice restraint; it’s all about delayed gratification when managing a household and a business.
Over the break, my family wanted to get out and have some fun. They aren’t always home, and I had other to-dos. So, guess what? I did what I could, and I told people no. 'No' is the greatest tool and superpower for some. It's not just a word; it's a statement of your priorities and a testament to your commitment to what truly matters. Saying no can be an act of strength, not weakness. It leads to a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Practical Guide: Crafting a Family-Centric Routine
There's no such thing as a perfect routine. Creating a productive schedule requires, family, downtime, and flexibility enough for the unexpected.
– Like repairs – and the beauty of memorable family moments is key.
Here's a peek into my current routine, which I follow 7 days a week unless I'm on vacation:
6 AM: Wake up, driving training, pray, meditate, read, tea, journals 7 AM: Gym 8 AM: Walk/see kids off to school 9 AM: Breakfast/work | 4 PM - 5 PM: Work 5 PM: Finish work, train my son for football 6 PM: Plan for tomorrow and get ready for family time |
10 AM - 12 PM: Work Noon: Lunch 1 PM - 2 PM: Work 2 PM: Errands 3 PM: Free/time | 7 PM: Dinner, clean up, and family time 8 PM: Finishing up family time and hygiene 9 PM: Me time 10 PM: Netflix and chill with the wife 11 PM: Pray, then sleep |
You want a designated time for work every day. Time to eat, self-care, downtime, and flexible bonus time for the unthinkable.
This routine is a framework, a starting point. Adjust and tailor it to fit your life and your family's needs.
Remember, the goal is balance, not perfection.
Business / Entrepreneurial Wisdom: Staying True to Your Path
Disciplined routines and strategies aren’t just for the military. Successful business engineers and architects achieve their goals with these tools.
As an engineer to my family and an army veteran, I appreciate a good strategy and a set of blueprints.
Writing down your plan and seeing it unfold ensures hitting your target.
Planning takes a lot of careful thought. I encourage you to check out my episode, "Heroes and Villains," for insights on committing to your vision.
Go 7 Layers! Deep with your whys.
Ask yourself 'why' while building your strategy to maintain focus and direction.
Embracing Rest and Detox
We can’t forget the importance of rest. A strategy I use: is periods of fasting for mental clarity and focus.
I fast on Sundays every quarter.
During these fasts, I create blueprints to increase my family's well-being and legacy.
Grand rising!

I don't eat starting Saturday at 10 PM until Monday, between 10 AM and noon when I finally break the fast. My fast includes:
tea,
water
coffee
Ingredients for a holistic blueprint.
Rest and detox are more than breaks. They're opportunities to reflect, plan, and strategize for the future.
Reflect and Respond
As we wrap up this edition, please take a moment to reflect and engage with a few questions. Your answers can help illuminate your path and bring clarity to your journey. Here they are:
Redefining Time: How do you currently perceive time in your life? Are there areas where you can be more flexible or more disciplined in how you manage it?
The Power of 'No': Think of a recent situation where you said 'yes' when you wanted to say 'no.' How did that impact your priorities, and what could you do next time?
Family-Centric Routine: What does your ideal daily routine look like? How does it balance your personal, family, and business responsibilities?
Entrepreneurial Vision: Reflect on your 'deep why' for your business or career. How does this align with your values and the life you want to build?
Rest and Detox: When was the last time you took a deliberate break for mental clarity and focus? How can you incorporate this practice?
Continuous Balance: What does 'attacking the day' mean to you, and how can you apply this approach to find balance in your life?
I encourage you to jot down your answers or even share them with someone you trust. Engaging in this self-reflection is a step towards intentional living. This is how you achieve the balance we've discussed throughout this newsletter.
Here's is the A.A.R ( The Continuous Journey of Balance )
Balancing a family and business ain't going to be easy.
Think of Wolverine's quote: “I'm the best at what I do, and what I do ain't nice!”
A leader is reserved in his heart and mind to be elite. This duty will require relentless, dedication, discipline, consistency, planning, following intuition, and a holistic approach. But let me tell you, fellas, it’s one of the most rewarding duties on the planet.
Don't take this lightly.
Attack the day, knowing that each step you take, each decision you make, is part of a continuous journey. It's not about achieving perfect balance once and for all. It's about navigating the ups the downs, learning, growing, joy, and fulfillment. In both your family and business life pursuits.
Attack every day.
