Unspoken Truths
Find Out What No One Tells You About Discipline?
I remember back in school having the hardest time staying focused and being disciplined. But it got even harder once I began to create a family of my own.
It wasn’t until I figured out the problem.
I've always wanted to do a million things and thought I could be great at them.
Now it's my belief you are capable of Infinite paths. Choosing the one that will have you tapping your God-given talents, that's the hard part.
The procrastinator has the best ideas in the world, they just never have the discipline to execute because they are afraid of the pain/work that is required to get it done.

It brings me back to my mid-20s when I joined the Army. It was simple: do what you're told, don't ask too many questions and you'll stay alive. I was a new Father, my son was my pride and joy.
My experience for life thus far: I have worked many jobs, some college, and a brief stent in jail. I had experienced LIFE, to say the least.

Life Is Hard
But compared to the guys I served with, not so much they were fresh out of high school. Now we've always had outside sources, fighting for our attention even before social media ( this isn't going to be a bash tik-tok moment).
I couldn't understand why it was so hard for them to listen. I remember many smoke sessions ( corrective physical training ) because fellow soldiers didn't follow directions.

Idea Of Smoking Session
Pretty straightforward stuff.
But a switch went off inside of me when I joined the Army.
We were training to be soldiers to stay focused and disciplined.
It wasn't until weeks later, that I figured out why. After all these years of being unable to focus and have discipline. Now at this moment, my mind had shifted to this disciplined and focused individual.
But the same men who joined me weren't having the same experience.
I had a deep Why formed by a vision of my future and another mouth to feed.
My son is depending on me. It was the spark I needed. Anytime I got off track I remembered my why. That made everything fall into place and allowed me to see my vision of the future.
The bonus, I was in the military so they taught me the best practices to ensure I could reach any goal. Being told when to eat, sleep, what to wear and do. This was a no-brainer. It took all the guesswork out of the situation.
I realized it was easier for me to become more disciplined because I had something to help me focus. When the army made me do the same thing every single day it became a habit.
I was being trained with countless skills to help me in any situation.
Having that shift altered my mindset.

Vision
To have vision you need a why. Ask yourself 3 hard questions.
What is your goal?
What makes that goal important?
What changes if you don't reach the goal?
These are the first steps to unlocking your true motivation. I needed a deep reason to give me a vision for my future.
Routine
Having good habits is pivotal in becoming disciplined. I could never get ahead before. I didn't have a solid foundation to reinforce my deep why.
Your routine is vital to your plan. You have a business plan, instructions, and car manuals for a reason. They give you a reference point.
You need a routine and a plan.
Having dedication and discipline comes down to implementing a plan and executing it.
How and why are important steps needed to be Focused.

Mindset
Answer this question.
What are you prepared to sacrifice?
It's the last piece of the puzzle. It will help make a shift in your mindset.

You don't need a baby or to join the military ( it wouldn't hurt either ) to shift your mindset.
But you are going to need to exercise that mental muscle.
Get comfortable being uncomfortable.
Having Discipline and Focus comes down to implementation.
How important it is to be Disciplined and why it is vital to stay Focused.
Discipline and focus aren't something you're born with.
It’s a skill that is forged with doing the work.
