Freedom First

Entrepreneurs, are you truly free?

In the hustle of life, the illusions of wealth, and the chase for more of it, we often lose sight of what truly matters, leaving our deepest truths unspoken and unfulfilled(ATD)

Another day

Society has it twisted.

I'm not an entrepreneur because I want to make a million dollars.

I'm not an entrepreneur because I have this great plan.

I'm an entrepreneur because I like my freedom.

Not only do I like my freedom, but I remember a time when I got a call from my son in school. He sounded worried and needed his allergy medicine immediately.

I didn't have to check in with a boss or rearrange meetings. I grabbed the medicine, jumped in the car, and headed to his school. The relief in his eyes when I arrived made me realize the true value of my freedom. Being able to be there for him, without any red tape or hurdles, was priceless.

That's why I'm an entrepreneur. - "Freedom"

70% Value Freedom Over Finances

Do you know many chase financial success?

70% of entrepreneurs focus on something more valuable

—Freedom and flexibility

Often an overlooked part of entrepreneurship.

Reveals a deeper motivation that we all can relate to.

You strive for the perfect balance of life.

You create schedules to fit your professional and personal life.

You find yourself stuck in the same cycle of distraction and burnout.

You juggle the demands of :

  • Entrepreneurship,

  • Personal growth,

  • Family responsibilities,

You still feel like you're not present in the moment. This endless pursuit of perfection can feel like an enemy, robbing you of the freedom you seek.

Freedom vs. Financial Success Misconception

Society paints a picture of entrepreneurs as individuals chasing after millions.

Delusions of the chase of money.

Money isn’t real so why chase it.

Money is a great motivator the pursuit of money itself is not.

This narrative can feel alienating, especially for those who want to escape the 9-5 system.

I remember the days of feeling trapped in an office.

Missing my son's school events and important family moments.

I had to ask for permission to take time off.

The real enemy to success is defined by

Financial achievement over freedom to live life on our terms.

Entrepreneurship Equals Flexibility and Values

Entrepreneurship is about reclaiming your time and freedom. It’s about being there when your family needs you. Without needing to justify your actions to anyone.

Imagine being able to take a random day off to spend with your family.

Attend every school event, and make memories without the stress of workplace constraints. Flexibility allows you to align your daily life with your personal values.

Bringing peace of mind and a sense of fulfillment.

The real advantage of being your own boss.

Achieve Freedom with These Steps

Let’s break down the steps to achieving this entrepreneurial freedom:

  • Define Your 'Why': Write down the core reasons why you chose entrepreneurship. This will serve as your compass during challenging times. For example, my 'why' is the freedom to be there for my family whenever they need me.

  • Set Flexible Goals: Establish business goals that allow for flexibility in your daily schedule. Focus on weekly and monthly targets. To accommodate unexpected family needs.

  • Build a Support System: Create a network of mentors and peers who understand and support your need for freedom.

  • Daily Flexibility Practices: Put in place daily practices that ensure you maintain the freedom you value.

  • Time Blocking: Block off times in your calendar for family activities and emergencies.

Life on Your Terms

Entrepreneurship is not about financial success. (but it is a plus )

—It's about the freedom to live life on your own terms.

Focusing on the true benefits of being your own boss.

You can build a lifestyle that prioritizes what matters most.

Reflect on your reasons for becoming an entrepreneur.

Take the steps to ensure your business supports your personal values and freedom.
